And it is these are part of the ideal of a dream landscape, both in paintings and in films.

Victoria Falls-Zambia and Zimbabwe

When the thunderous noise of the water arrives, it warns that you will find one of the most impressive landscapes on the planet. It is the largest and most unique waterfall in the world. It is 1.7 kilometers wide and 108 meters high where the Zambezi River falls into Victoria Falls. Due to its height and width, the largest curtain of water on Earth is born there during the rainy season.

For its beauty and grandeur, Victoria Falls were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1989.

 

Blue Nile Falls-Ethiopia

This is one of the main tourist attractions to see in Ethiopia and one of the most fascinating waterfalls in North Africa. Depending on the season of the year, we can find a small stream of water or a gigantic fall of up to 400 meters wide, in the wet season (between June and September), capable of earning the name of «water and smoke», due to the humid steam that comes out of its powerful flow.

 

Maletsunyane Falls-Lesotho

Any time of year is a good time to visit Maletsunyane Falls. The impressive contrast between the stone and the water jet is a vision of incomparable beauty that you will never forget. And it is that its intense force, on a basalt ledge from the Triassic-Jurassic period, forms an impressive cloud of water.

 

Ouzoud waterfalls-Morocco

They are a spectacle of incomparable beauty at any time of the year, especially during the rainy season. Its vegetation is made up of idyllic green valleys, orchards, mills and the fascinating gorges of the “El Abid” river, which in Arabic means “the slaves of the river”.

One of its greatest attractions, in addition to the beauty of the place itself, is the possibility of swimming at the base of these waterfalls in Africa.

 

Ruacana Falls-Namibia and Angola

The Ruacana Falls, powerful and impetuous, fall more than 120 meters high and are 700 meters wide in the rainy season.

It is one of the largest waterfalls in Africa both in width and flow. A unique place whose beauty and majesty have made it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa.
