Situated in a small valley on the slopes of the mountains, Tamerza, also known as Tamagzha or Tameghza is the largest mountain oasis located in southern Tunisia.
It extends on the south bank of the Horchane River in front of irregular massifs, over desert and arid canyons, giving a paradisiacal view.
The Oasis of Tamerza is one of the best known in Tunisia for its four-meter waterfall that, after the fall, runs between stone canyons, which was formed by the erosion of river waters in the rainy seasons.
In this place you will also be able to observe The Tozeur path that runs through a narrow and winding road between mountains, from which you will be able to observe the Midès Gorges, the setting for the movie «The English Patient»
