Religion in Africa has a very diverse character, it is a continent recognized by the deep religious spirit of its inhabitants, as well as by the tolerance with which they accept and assume religious proposals.
The population of Africa has more than 800 million inhabitants, who, by religion, are distributed in: 316 million Muslims, more than half of them in the Arab countries of the north of the continent; 256 million Christians, of which just over 124 million are Catholic and, in contrast to the Christian and Islamic religions, which later expanded and are currently followed by the majority of the continent, it is estimated that there are around 200 million followers of the African traditional religions.
