Project Description
Namib Desert, Etosha National Park,
An adventure journey around Swakopmund
This limited-edition tour departs Monday from Namibia’s capital, Windhoek. While private tours remain available, we will introduce mixed / shared tours with affordable prices so that as many people as possible can travel, considering the expensive travel & tour prices in Namibia.
In addition to the Namib Desert, you will also experience a safari in Etosha National Park and a visit to Swakopmund, where the German-style streets are lovely. Participation by one person (solo traveler) is also possible.
Points of this tour
1Mixed tour for up to 12 people
This tour is a mixed-group excursion that includes other guests. It is advised for individuals who wish to travel cheaply, search for adventurous travel, and desire to engage in cross-cultural interactions.
2Excellent location
The accommodation is basic but clean, tidy and welcoming. The Sesriem lodge, located in Etosha’s national park, is about 5 kilometres from the park’s entrance. The locations of the hotels in Swakopmund are carefully considered, including how far they are from the beach.
3Experience local life and culture
Visit the Herero and Himba tribes in Damaraland. On the final day, visit the facilities of the Cheetah Conservation Program to discover more about this critically endangered animal, as designated by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
Tour highlights
Etosha National Park
North of Namibia’s capital city of Windhoek, by five and a half hours. Etosha, which translates to «a vast white land,» is one of Africa’s largest national parks and has the enormous salt lake known as Etosha Pan. Even though there are 340 species of birds alone, mostly mammals are what are seen here. Along with the herds of elephant gathered in the water, there are numerous other species, including the «Big 4» of lions, rhinos, and buffalos.
Swakopmund
Namibia’s most stunning port city. The only place in the world where the sea and the desert are next to one another is at the northernmost tip of the Namib Desert. Desert yellow, lake blue, flamingo pink, and plant green contrast in a really beautiful way. In the port town where cold currents flow, seafood is delectable. At a fair price, fresh oysters are especially well-liked. Between the safari and the desert, it creates an exquisite scene.
Namib Desert
In 2013, the Namib Desert in Namibia, which spans along the Atlantic Ocean, was listed as a World Heritage Site. It is thought to be the oldest desert in the world, having formed around 80 million years ago. You may view a variety of forms, including the Sossusvlei deserts in the center of the desert, the enormous dune number 45, and dead sand dunes with dead trees.
