Known as ‘the pearl of Africa’, Uganda has a bit of everything: national parks with African fauna, geographical landmarks such as the sources of the Nile, evergreen equatorial landscapes and the intense life of its villages.

Learn more about everything it has to offer you:

Mount Elgon and Sipi Falls

Mount Elgon is a lonely extinct volcano that rises in the middle of the plain, in the far east of Uganda, bordering Kenya. It has been declared a national park and is surrounded by a wooded landscape with some waterfalls and pools where you can bathe.

Rafting on the Nile

There are two very, very wild rafts in Africa: the one in Zambezi, in Zimbabwe, and this one that takes place on the Nile, below the Owen Dam, near the sources and Jinja.

Visit the mountain gorillas

It is the definitive experience in any trip through Uganda. The country has a bit of everything, but what makes it different from other famous destinations in central Africa is the possibility of seeing mountain gorillas up close, a subspecies of gorilla that only remains here and in neighboring Rwanda and Congo. .

Murchison Falls

These falls are one of the essential things to see in Uganda yes or yes. They give their name to the Murchison Falls National Park and are one of the attractions that you can enjoy in this park.

Rhinos at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

The Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place where rhinos can be seen in the wild in Uganda. This private initiative arose after the extinction of this animal in the country in the eighties.
