From epic Roman ruins to crystal clear Mediterranean beaches, the Sahara, and the Berbers, Tunisia is a very small but highly diverse country.

However, if you are thinking of traveling to the North African country soon, it is important that you plan your itinerary based on the seasons that correspond to it and your wishes.

In Tunisia there are different types of climate. The northern zone has a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and cool, rainy winters. Central Tunisia has a semi-arid climate. Finally, the southernmost part of the country has a desert climate.

You can travel practically all year round if you are looking for a successful trip. We simply recommend that you bear in mind that December to February is the rainy season in the country.

Taking this into account, the best time to travel to Tunisia is between March and June or the months of September and October.
